Doesn't it seem like everyone who uses an Ampeg uses a Mesa as well? It's like they're interchangable. :p

I've not noticed this at all. I also think the two brands have their own distinct sounds which are very independent of each other.

Maybe not interchangeable, but I think they sound great together. :)

I have a M2000 and a SVT vintage, and there are both very different !

    Not interchangable!

    No I don't mean interchangable.

I mean everyone who uses an Ampeg uses a Mesa, ie Rob Trujillo (I saw him live and he had a bunch 'o' Mesa's and in the Ampeg catalog it says he plays an Ampeg) and Les Claypool plays with both too.

Both sound good in their own way. They use different speakers and what not. Newer mesa's use EV, and Ampeg uses Eminence. I like the sound of the mesa over ampegs. Plus the mesas have more powerhandling for their size. Just MO.

    My setup is:
    *Mesa M-Pulse 600
    Ampeg SVT-410HE
Ampeg SVT-115EN with a Eminence Delta Pro 300 watt replacement

It sounds great, but when I get my Mesa cabs it'll sound AMAZING!

    Someone wanna lend me $1400?

EDIT: I R bad at spelling
