I found a used B-100R. The only problem with ti is that the owner's dog ate the vinyl on top (a good chunk) but nothing wrong with the sound. For $125 is it worth it? I'm kinda of a newb and don't know much about amps. What do I need to know about this amp?

I owned this combo for awhile and thought it was excellent. In fact, I liked it so much I bought a second one! Gets loud for the wattage. What did me in eventually was the 65 lb. weight.

    Yea I recently bought a BR-1 (150 watt) for $50 from a buddy.

Apparently they don't make them anymore because they were known to over heat but I havent had a problem. I'd say anything old is worth it because it'll usually become more and more valuable.

    Great price.
This is one of my favorite combo's.
    A very loud 100 watts.
And comes very close to a B15 in tone for a SS amp. (I said, very close,
    it's not tube.)
With a VT pedal, you get even closer.

    That's a steal!
Great, stout, loud amp with a truly vintage tone. I'm lazy and use my little Markbass 1x12 combo for "combo gigs" 'cause it's lighter and as loud(in it's own way), but I will use my trusty 10 year old B100R to RECORD, over the Markbass.

HORRIBLE DEAL!!!!! I have 2 of them that I've rescued other uneducated buyers from making the grand mistake. Give me the guy's number and I'll save yet another one. GOD I'm a saint, sheesh.

They are great, love mine. It's good that they are heavy, keeps you in shape. I carry both at once and do squats with them.

The tolex can be fixed cheap- and it's only cosmetic.
$125 is a great deal for a working B100R (is it USA?) I'd do it, regardless.

    Run, don't walk!
I've had one for 9 years. It's excellent in every way.
BTW, they're constructed to take detachable casters; you just have them order them separately.

Time to cry guys.....Someone ran faster than me! WAH WAH WAH!

Anyways I secured a Roland Super Cube 40 SCB-40. From the pictures it looks mint. Is this a good deal? I can't find any info online!

I saw this on craigslist. Almost bought it (cause it is a great deal) but I already have a 70's B-100 so figured I'd let this go to someone else.
  20. I have a B100R and it is my fave combo. GREAT tone and looks! I also usea VOX T-60 and an Ampeg BA112. But the B100R is the best one!
