    Good Morning,

I have managed to pick up an Ampeg B2-48 combo. This is a 4x8 version, kinda unpopular but sounds great. I also picked up a long tome ago an Ampeg SVT15E cab. So i figured this would be a great addition to the B2.

    I few points...
The combo will be higher and therefore better to hear on stage.
I think with the group that different size speakers in a bass amp is ng...

I have a line on an Ampeg SVT 48 (The 4x8 ext cab)

Both cabs would set to total impedance to 4 which will allow the amp to put out 350 watts, so no issue there.

So SVT 15 OR SVT 4x8.....

I am used to SWR Henry 8x8 so 8s are cool with me....

    Thanks All...

It's so cool that you have the 4x8 extension cab and now the 4x8 combo.

Adding an SVT48 is the safest approach. You will avoid issues related to different cab sensitivities and subsequent different loudness levels from the two cabs.

Raising the level of any combo or cab makes a big difference in terms of monitoring.
