  1. i have a ampeg b2r head and a sansamp rbi rack mount... is there any way to use the sansamp as the main pre and the ampeg as a poweramp? or without interfering with all of it..

    bassicly, whats the right way to make this happen?

    - thanks

    If your amp has a fx loop, you can connect it like this: Bass > sansamp > Br2 fx loop, return jack.
    Don't forget to turn your Br2, fx level knob up, (if equipped).
  3. Actually, the B2R has a Pre-in, Power-out. I was actually thinking about this setup for a while

    Ah, that's useful. So:

    Bass -> RBI -> B2R (preamp input)
  5. That's what it's there for!

    Granted, I was looking more along the lines of an Alembic

    I would hook it up this way:
    Bass - RBI - Ampeg (front input) (Just like using a BDDI pedal)

    So you can tweak your DI sound with the RBI. I would not significally boost any highs or lows, just give it a decent "drive". From there I would feed the DI sound. All the eq for stage acoustics can be done on the Ampeg, without bothering the FOH sound.
