Ok all you solid state Ampeg users. What's the difference between the Ampeg B2R 350 watts ot 4ohms and the Ampeg SVT 350H 350 watts at 4 ohms. They are both solid state and have the same tone controls (9 band eq etc....) but the B2R costs about $550 nerw and the SVT 350H costs just under $700 new. The B2R is rack mountable,The SVT comes in its own case but I wouldn't think that would make $150 difference.
I'm asking because last saturday night I spilled an ENTIRE bottle of beer down the front of my SVT 200T (Doh!) and I know it's just a matter of time before I'll be replacing it.

Per the Ampeg advertisement brochure, it is the same amp with a twist...the SVT350H weighs 44 pounds versus 15 for the B2R. Obviously, the SVT 350H has a case complete with Tolex while the B2R is a rack mount. Must be sold by the pound......
