Ok, here is the skinny. I am using the B4R head, with 2 BSE410HLF cabinets... I have been running pwr amp A to one cabinet, and pwr amp b to another... I have the amp set in Dual Mono mode... the second cabinet is a recent addition, and in my opinion, putting the second cabinet on the rig did little to the volume of the rig. Is there a better way to set all this up the get more volume?

No that is the proper way to hook up those 2 cabs. You should be noticing an increase in volume.

Maybe the volume is there, but not from your position. If you were standing rather close to it, would you hear the top one well, and the bottom one kind of shoot past you at knee level?

I agree. You might not hear the increase but I bet the audience does. :)
