I just purchased a ba115v2. Awesome amp. I love they tones I'm getting. What I noticed today is on the face of the amp it says ba210 and the back plate says 115. Now it is a 115 but is it possible the actual amp is a 210 amp in a 115 can?
Is there anyway I can test the amp and see what type of wattage it produces? In my mind this would confirm if it is indeed a 210 amp in a 115 cab.
It does have a line out on the face. Looking at pictures of the ba115v2 and 210 they both have the the line out on the face. Is this what your speaking of?
Then my guess is it's the 115 amp and they either mislabeled or used a 210 housing. Does everything work properly?
Excellent! I have the BA110v2 for practice and I really love it. Best of luck with your new amp! As long as it's working properly, I'd keep it.
Wow, that's bizarre. I have a BA-115 (I LOVE it) and it says 115 on both the front and the back. I wonder if it was just some weird factory error or something.
Agreed. I am actually on hold with Ampeg now. I am kinda hoping it is a 210 amp. I don't believe it is, but sure would be cool if it was.
I would hang onto it regardless of what it is. Not often you see a mislabeled amp. Makes for a great story to tell the grandkids
I really enjoy my BA 115v2. If you have a RIC, or can borrow one, play it through the "Scrambler" channel. The sound is amazing. Keep the groove.
This +1000. If I put the scrambler settings at about 40% and run my RIC all out with headphones it almost completely nails the Geddy Moving Pictures RIC tone. Its awesome.
Very low. There's no speaker out jack on the back panel, and the BA210 head would shred that speaker if you pushed it a little since it's almost 300w it puts out at 8 ohms. I think they just mistakenly put a front panel for a BA210 on your BA115.
