Ampeg BA115 series combo,,,,,nice bottom end sound?

    you guys seem to know this amp pretty well, and i'm considering it. does it have a nice bottom end sound? thanks, eric

    It definitely does have nice bottom end. When I hear my 10" Minx nowadays, the bass sounds like it's going through a dixie cup compared to the Ampeg. Others have commented that the 115's low end is better than other 15 inch combos. I think it has more low end than the SWR Workingman 15 that I tried in a store, but you should check it out for yourself.

    I'd say it packs more bottom end punch than any other combo in the pricerange.

    The BA-115 has excellent bottom end.More than enough.I never have to crank the bass or roll off treble/mid.The style switch set to 1 or 2 gives the deepest tones.The most crazed reggae bassist would be happy as a clam with it.Good luck!
