One thing I dont understand is that it can go down to 2 ohms yet it looks exactly the same as the SVT-350/B2R which can only play down to 4 ohms...whats the deal?

It's an SVT-350H with a 2x10 cab actually. Nothing new then. But very nice!!

Actually if it is an SVT-350 with a 2x10 then it is something new because the SVT-350/B2R cannot play down to 2 ohms.

I dont know sounds kind of flimsy. Wouldnt they have to upgrade certain things like the cooling properties to allow it to play down to 2 ohms?

    Yes

The BA500 has more output devices than the B2R so as to handle the 2 ohm load, and an upgraded power transformer etc to take care of the added load.

There are some other differences as well:

Added mute switch, which is also footswitchable

    Graphic is footswitchable

    There is a tuner output

Neutrik output jack is always included.

But, yes, it is based on the B2 .

At the moment, the first production is being verified, so it shouldn't be too long before they start appearing in the stores.

so you know what the next question is. Will this ever be available in rack mount head form? This is way better than the B2R
