I'm flying to DC to play with a friend's band, and can't take my bass cab with me.

    Will my ampeg portaflex head...

sound decent with this subwoofer that the band already has there?

will it sound like complete crap? will i need to rent or buy a decent cab when i get up there? should i look into shipping mine? i know nothing about playing through a subwoof...

any knowledge on playing through subwoofers would be much appreciated!! or on shipping a bass cab safely via Delta

is that the correct link ? it shows a full range cerwin vega, not a sub. it would sound fine thru that cerwin vega.

yeah that's the link the band sent me. i guess they just called it a subwoof because of the 2 15" speakers it has? not sure.

I agree - if that is the actual speaker model you will be playing through it will probably sound good.

That is not a subwoofer though, it's a full range PA cab.

If it's a full range PA speaker, it should be just fine. I've used a Yorkville EX1000 for a while.
