I need some of those black plastic nuts (or better) for my little ba108. What are they called? Are they REAN? Anyway a good source would be appreciated also. Thanks

If the threaded part of the jack is exposed though the panel you can go to most hardware stores and find something that will thread onto it.

The problem will be finding something as thin as you'd like. So, go to an electronics supply outfit and buy a phone jack, then use the nut(s) from that.

If the threaded part doesn't extend through the panel, you may need a recessed nut with a collar. So, again you can find it at an electronics supply place for a couple dollars.

If you call Ampeg tomorrow, they might just send you one, although I can't say that with certainty ;)

If it were me, I'd replace it with a traditional metal washer and nut.

Rean might work. Neutrik made them also, theirs might work too. (or did they buy REAN?)

Depending on age, they might be from Cliff.

More recently, probably some chinese source, I have no idea who.

I don't know if any hardware store nut will fit it, I never measured. If I needed one I just went and got it out of the drawer, so the question never came up.

that is where ampeg support will send you
(hardly the customer service weve come to expect in comparison to schaller or dunlop)

The OP was last seen here in May 2016. I’m pretty sure that during the last year he will have found a resolution. :)

    Welcome to talk Bass. :D
