The 2x15 Portaflex column cabs (bt15-c and b15-nc): do these column cabs have characteristics more like the single-baffle, double-baffle, or thiele cabs? Thanks.

These cabs are pretty rare so it is going to be difficult to get an opinion. stiles72 has one as well as a double baffle. You might want to PM him and ask what he thinks of how they compare sonically.

B-o-T spelled it out this way.

"I would rank them like this - from "deepest" or bassiest to brightest or most defined:

    70's Thiele, '67 Thiele(BT15D), BT15C 2x15, Single Baffle Cab, Double Baffle Cab."

I also currently have a b-15s cab which I really like and find to be around the brightness of my 2x15. Though the speakers in them are different so it is a little tough to compare fairly.

The thiele cab is indeed dark.
