Aside from the current availability - does anyone know if Ampeg has plans to release anything new for 2020?
Honestly, the Yamaha aquisition was a big disapointment considering inovations on Ampeg line of products. Until now, the only thing that changed was that they started using the amp models real names on their Helix line. Let's see what comes along...
The stupidest thing Yamaha could have done was immediately rush to production with new and redesigned Ampeg products. Instead, they kept the status quo for a year and a half (they said they weren't going to do anything major for at least a year when they bought Ampeg), evaluated the products and the market, solicited endorser and user comments, and got a feel for what might work. I don't know why people want them to rush production and head to market with all new stuff within a week. LOUD did that and it took years for them to recover from the damage done. Yamaha is being very smart about it, and if their track record is any indication, we'll all be glad they did.
