  1. Hi i have the superb Ampeg SVTCL valve head, i used to have the SVT610HLF Cab. i now have two cabs instead the SVT15E and the SVT210HE the two added up are rated at 450w rms. Now my valve head is rated at 300w but being a valve head we know they sound louder. Are the speakers going to be ok handling the power, the previous cab was rated at 600w and was used on its own but it was too big and heavy for my liking.

Do you guys have any experience of using the 2 x 10 and 1 x15 cab choices.

The sound is very warm, rounded, yet punchy and clear.

  2. I don't have the SVT amp but I do have a SVT15 and SVT410E cabs running from a 350 watt Hartke head. The speakers work and sound great. Volume is intense with just the 15 or with both cabs. These cabs will handle 350 clean watts just fine. But if you clip fairly often, which you shouldn't anyway, you may find the speakers won't last long, but thats the same with any cab/amp setup so I wouldn't worry about it one bit.

300 watts is 300 watts, no matter how loud. It'll be fine.
