Ampeg SVP-CL, What If?

    On the SVP-CL pre-amp there is a five position Ultra Low knob which, according to the description in the owners manual, would be useless to me. Why didn't Ampeg instead put in a five way low frequency adjustment just like they did on the mid-range? There could be five settings from 20Hz to 200Hz and I could boost or cut the chosen frequency. Now that would be useful. Maybe someone at Ampeg just wasn't thinking. :meh:

    All I can say is believe with your ears and not by what you read on paper. The Ultra Low selector knob is what makes this pre so versatile. In conjunction with the Mid Freq selector, Bright, and Ultra High switches you can go anywhere from honk to dub. Give one a try sometime.
