Ampeg Svp-PRO / Sans Amp RBI

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by rich37, Apr 30, 2002.

  1. Can I have some opinions about these two?

I'm not sure that the Sans Amp has plenty of eq. range.

What are the main differences betyween these two?
Is it possible to create a tube sound with the Sans Amp?
I'm going to use one of these two with a QSC RMX 850 and a Ampeg SVT410HLF I think.

i don't mean to bash ya buddy, but seriously, read the threads before you post. There have been at least 3-5 posts about sansamp rbi's vs svp pro's. Also, the very point of sansamp as a company is tube emulation. Does the sansamp rbi do tube sounds? Yes...that's the point
  3. I know that there have been enough posts about this subject.
Last week I posted this on a thread of someone else but I didn't get an answer, that's why a made a thread out of it.

My main question is: Has the Sans Amp plenty of eq. range?
    (They didn't discuss this point)
I live in Holland and there is no store nearby where I can try out a Sans Amp, So I have to order it somewhere in Germany.

the eq on the sans isn't exactly huge or all encompassing. I think the low eq knob is 80hz boost or cut. Nothing fantastic for control. I'm adding a 31 band eq to mine

The EQ range is enough to go from crap to crap, with sweet somewhere in the middle. I love mine...
