SOLD Ampeg SVT-100T - Los Angeles Area

For Sale: Ampeg SVT-100T bass combo amp in good condition. I picked it up to do some recording with my '73 P bass for a blues project but ended up holding onto it for several years and did some gigging with it. I'm just trying to thin out my collection a bit.

It does an outstanding job on blues, R&B and of course rock.

Here's what I've been able to research about it:

-Built in the 90's.
-100 Watts into a pair of 8" speakers.
-The ported cabinet (does well down to a low E, but doesn't do that well with a low B string)
-Direct Out
-Ext Speaker
-4 Band EQ with push/pull boosts
-FX Loop
-A very useful ground lift switch
-Not a lightweight at 46lbs

Would prefer to sell it locally. I'm in Torrance but travel a bit around the LA area so could possible meet somewhere. Would need power though so you could see just how good this amp sounds.













Asking $250 local. Shipping would suck but would probably be $65-$75 in the lower 48.

Open to trade offers as well. In particular a quality 12" cabinet (Genz, Eden, Schroeder, etc) plus some cash from me. Also been looking for an Eden D115XLT forever.

 

There is a 1/4" jack that is labeled EXTENSION SPEAKER, but I've not used it before. A quick Google search and I found this on BGRA: "Plugging in an external speaker cabinet disconnects the internal speakers which prevents overheating the amplifier." So it basically becomes the world's heaviest 100-watt bass head with spare 8" speakers... Not sure why you'd use this honestly now

 

Interesting... maybe we can start a silverface vs. blackface argument ya know, like the six string guys do.
