AMPEG SVT 2 PRO WITH KT 88

    Just bought new jj kt 88 for my ampeg ,they sound so much better than 6550s .Has anyone tried these tubes in their amps?

    i just walked in the door from getting jj kt-88s put in my svt2(non-pro). I'm anxious to play it but I had to rest after carrying it for a decent distance. Remind me why I like tube amps.

    I use GEC KT88's best bass amp tubes on this planet.

    My SVT-2 PRO is fully tubed with JJ's including the KT-88. I love them!!! Probably the best tubes ever!

    Thanks guys,i could not believe my ears when i started playing.My amp really came to life ,so today i am retubing my preamp section with jjs.

    Not the same amp, but my Traynor YBA-200 came to life after changing to KT88's from 6550's, and the preamp tubes to 12AT7's.

    Traynor is a great amp .That was my first amp , it was called a block or something like that.Still wish i had it.
