I'm new to this forum and I figured you guys could help me better than anyone. I have an Ampeg SVT 4 Pro and the peak LED has been blinking. This has been happening since the last show I played with the amp. I'm new to this amp, so I'm not sure what could be the issue. You can see the LED going off in the videos of my band playing, but I didn't realize it happened until after the show. Any ideas would be a great help. Thanks.
It is ok for the peak light to blink when you are hitting your hardest notes. If you don't want that to happen, dial back you gain. How are your eq settings? Do you have any of the preshape buttons engaged?
I had the 4 pro for about nine years. Was your gain set higher then normal? Were you playing louder then normal? 4 pro's are known for the led blinking excessively. Don't worry they can take a lot.
