  1. First post! I have been playing bass for a year now (feb 14th) before that no prior music experience.

I started out with a Ibanez eda 900 bass and a nemesis nc112 combo, pretty basic, sounded great, but not loud enough. About a month ago I upgraded to a little bigger of a rig:

    SVT -4pro head
    SVT -215e cab
    SVT -410hlf cab

what i found is, that there is awful lot of buttons, knobs, slider, ect to figure out. So my question, is there anybody out there who runs basically the same setup or close to and how you have yours set up? ex. compression, bass, mid, frequency, treble, eq, ultra high, lo, do you use the cross over and what setting, ect. (a close up picture of your amp would be great if you got one with your settings) if not any input would be appreciated.

And what kind of music you play, thanks in advance, and i hope this is the right forum to post this question in.

I have been looking into getting the same set-up, but I am not done trying other gear out first.

What I have is Similar, not the Same. I have an SVP-PRO preamp with an SVP-1500 Power-Amp. My basic rule of thumb is to leave everything flat (12:00 rotary EQ, in the middle on the grephic EQ) & I adjust as needed for every show I play. Every bar, pub, club, etc, has diffeent acoustics so one setting in one place might not work in another.
