I have the SVT 200T and I'm assuming the only difference between the two would be the power amp(s). The 200T is 200 watts into 8 ohm and 350 watts into 4 ohms. I believe the 400 T has 2 power amps that are 200 watts each into 4 ohms and 400 watts bridged into 8. If the EQ sections are the same you should love it. The 200T is the warmest sounding solid state amp I've ever heard. The bass boost adds warm low end without sucking out all the mids like the new ampegs do (SVT3 Pro for example). Why Ampeg changed this on the newer models is beyond me. I've seen both amps on ebay for between $300 and $400.
