Sorry for the noob post but this is definitly something that I need some reassurance for before I do it.

I have an Ampeg SVT-AV head and an SVT4-PRO head and I am trying to run them both through my Ampeg 810 cabinet. This is how I am thinking of running it, please comment/verify that this is safe.

    Input>
    Ampeg SVT-AV>
Out through the 'Power Amp Out" line>
Into the "Pre Amp In" line of the SVT4-PRO's "Power Amp A">
Speakon out of the SVT-AV into the lower 4 10's of the 810
    (dual mode)
1/4 out of the SVT4-Pro Power Amp A output into the upper 4 10"s
    (dual mode)

I have searched the other forums but just need a little extra assurance.

    Thanks

If you are wanting the tone of the SVT-AV through 4x10s and the tone of the SVT4-Pro through the other 4x10s, why not plug your bass into the SVT4-Pro and then run an instrument cable from the 4Pro's Tuner Out jack (either the one on the front, or the one on the back..try them both as the block diagram in the owner's manual seems to imply that the rear jack might be buffered in some way) to the SVT-AV's input.

What you propose, running the AV's preamp out to the 4Pro's power amp input, will work, but you'll bypass the 4Pro's preamp completely...

    Have fun!!!
