I was just on the ampeg website a few minutes ago and clicked on the classic section, and there was a head that looked like the origional SVT called the SVT-AV; all tube at 300 watts. Anyone played one? I've never even seen one!
  2. I'm pretty darn sure that this is internally identical to the SVT-CL. The only difference is that it looks even sexier. It would likely be a wonderful amp, though SVTs are a bit heavy.

SVT Anniversary Model I believe. Old school. :D

it's not an old one copy, it's not like the classic one.

I'll say it's a mix between the two, with the look of the old one.

Too bad they discontinued the 4x10 Av model :crying:

It's identical inside to the re-issue SVT Classic. Sounds great and looks cool. Ampeg says it weighs about 65 pounds but mine felt like 95. It's a good amp for a young guy with a strong back. ;)

I have back problems and I will gladly continue having back problems for that sound the Ampeg SVT-AV gives me. Priceless!

Bass players are a special breed of musician, that's for sure. ;)
