Thanks Jerrold, can you recommend a brand and a place to get one of them?

So between the 20A 125AC and the 15A 125AC (first and last one) is there any reason to choose one over the other?

I remember when I was looking at a new swith for my guitar amp they were something like 20$, I'm wondering why those are 6 to 8$ only.

    Thanks

For aesthetic reasons try to choose one that has a bat like the original. It'll look nicer that way. I seem to remember seeing a suitable switch at a local Home Despot but that was a while ago. If you see one with screw terminals don't disregard them. You can remove the screws and solder to the terminals.

Many of us have good sources, some places are more expensive than others just because people pay the price (many times for the exact same part), differences in the source buying small quanities and large quanities also drives retail prices. Just to be fair of course. :)

Yeah good idea, I think I'll shop locally first to see if I can find one that looks good and solid, I'm pretty I can find one at adisson or active.

So basically anything with the same spec and look of the original will be good, I thought there was some better brand but it looks like it's not the case.

Cherry switches used to be excellent (don't know about now), Switch Craft, Allen- Bradley...

I used APEM 631 H/2 (standby) and APEM 641 H/2 (power, with a wiring mod) as replacements for the broken SVT switches.
