Ampeg svt head and cab question

    hi. i'm planning on getting an ampeg svt410HLF cab and i want to know what head i should get to go with it. i want to get as much power as i can out of it. so if you have any suggestions i'd like to hear them. thanks for the help.

    Well, that is a 500W 4 ohm cabinet, so............

    An amp rated 500 to 1000W at 4 ohms would get you to about max volume. Much more and you get to where you are on the edge, powerwise, depending on style.
     
  3. My son has a GK 800RB and a SVT 4-10 cab. Looking to get a 1-15 cab and my friend swears by the SVT 1-15. It's only rated for 200 watts. Hoe will this cab hold up with this setup or should he consider an Avatar 1-15 with this?
