Ampeg SVT-II rack versus SVT -II PRO rack?

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by CROZ, Sep 2, 2000.

  1. I happened upon the oppurtunity to buy an SVT-II rackmount for cheap, but I can't take a look at it they have to ship it. I own an SVT classic but I want a rackmount now.
I have played SVT-II pro's and I liked them. What is the difference between the pro and non-pro version?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    thanks

The difference is the 6 band eq verse the 9 band. The pro has a preamp volume or tube gain and the other does not. The pro has a tuner out. I'm not sure about any other differences. They are both 300 watts. I have an SVT II i am selling right now. Any interest?

  4. Does it have a DI- out? Does it have the user tube bias feature on the back like the II.

It had a direct out and the bias feature is like an old svt not with the little led that turns red or green. You need to use a multimeter to adjust the bias.
