    HI!

I'm currently running an Ampeg SVT-CL rig but beginning to get a bit tired of the weight and exprensive tubes, soundwise it is still a favourite, even if it sometimes tends to get a bit muddy in the low end. I've heard that Aguilar amps should have some of the same characteristics (warm, smooth and BIG tone) but with a bit more definition in the low end...I have never seen or heard Aguilar in Denmark, so I would like know if someone has compared these two amps...I play Sadowsky vintage j-bass, how do you think Aguilar would match this tone???
    :)

  2. I think it's a perfect match. I think Aguilar amps have a great deal of warmth and presence, perfect for J Basses.

I would pick Aguilar, since I haven't had much experience with Ampeg; they're great, but you may find loud fans disturbing, if you are playing silent jazz gigs.
