Ampeg V7 Combo Amplifier

    Can someone lead me to some history on this unit? I picked this up in an equipment swap. The amp is in good condition and sounds real nice (my first time playing a tube unit). I've seen information on the V4 series. From what *I've been able to find, this amp was made in the mid 70's.

    Actually the V7 was an 80s era amp. It's a guitar amp in case you haven't figured that out :) I think it puts out about 100 watts, after that I'm foggy.

    from a pic I've seen of it, it looks like the combo version of the V5, which is the guitar version of the SVT-100 of the same era. 4 6550, 3 12AX7, based closely on the Marshall JCM800 2203(the SVT having some tweaks for bass, so it's a SVT in name only, but still good sounding).

    For sale if anyone is interested. Nice tube tones but I prefer the solid state stuff (heresy in some parts). Let me know. USA replies please!
