ampeg vh-150 head ?hmmm.

hey all!
I just picked up a used Ampeg VH-150 head.
It's a guitar head, 150 watts, but through an ampeg classic 4-10 bass cab, it is damn cool!
it is quite loud, and thumpy, with a nice boom. and it's really light. am I a moron for using it as a bass head? I really like it, but i'm wondering what all of your opinions of it, if any, or in general, are.
