Ampeg VT-22 Q´s.

    I can buy this Ampeg 2x12 100W alltube combo really cheap. Can the amp be removed from the combo to be used separately or is that a stupid idea?
    The V4´s around here go for more than twice as much as this combo. And if I understand it right this has the exact same amp in it, right?

    Otherwise I guess it could be used for recording and low volume practicing to not rip the speakers.
     
  2. Yep, it's the same amp as a V-4, which is very close to a V-4B.

    I'd say go for it. You'll just have to make a new head box, or buy a used one, and you'll have a kickin' head.

    Those 12" speakers are probably good ones too.

    I think the guitar oriented V4 heads have different frequency points on the mid control...and no ultra low... but it's been a long time since I've seen one.

    But, you get reverb!!!!
