i disagree with this. I have tried tons of amps and i think they are pretty featureless. Ive played some amps that had a million and 1 useless features. Ampegs have amazing tone, and shaping abilities, but nothing special. They are good, not tons of features though.

dude the only thing that could make fieldy a better bassist is it he cut out that whole 5 string jazz and went to the newest coolest trend of 2 strings. The presidents of the united states of america brought that into popularity, along with their 3 string guitars. As everyone knows the amazing musicianship, everyone should switch from 4,5,6,7 strings to 2 strings.

The second string is a really a crutch. Anyone worth their salt as a player can make due with just one.

And as for the original statement, read up hyper. IT wasn't stated that Ampegs have the most features. He said they have the coolest. Maybe he likes the color of the knobs better than any other. Maybe his frame of reference is a 1981 Kasino Snake Eyes and a Crate 30 watter. I don't know. But its ok for him to like Ampegs.

the guy only uses 2 of his 6 strings anyway.. low B (or whatever it's tuned to) and high C.. the rest are just there to make it look like he's doing a lot of work.

  10. I don't know that I would agree that ampeg has the coolest features ever. It's an opinion,m though, so I can't say that he's wrong. I would think that the new mo' bass by swr sure seems to have a lot of knobs, though I haven't ever messed around with one so I don't know. But I would tend to believe that swr does make the best bass amplification equipment around. And though true, they don't offer a lot in sound modification aside from an incredible eq.
