I have owned Carvin, gk,hartke, peavey, swr, ampeg
and ashdown, but the best amp that I've ever played thru was the Aguilar Db 359. I'm selling everything that I don't need to get one.

    Ya know...
Here I am, in the throes of purchasing a db680 and struggling over a power amp. And I really agree with you. The sound of those 4 6550's just rocks my world. I'd go straight there exept for the following.

    1. It's only 200W (okay, so it's REALLY 200W), I'd still never be able to keep up with my two guitar players (Mr Mesa, and Mr Marshall).

    2. there's no "preamp out" to link up to another amp, if you're running the DI to the front of house.

    3. there's no "tuner mute." Okay, so we can all get around it with an A/B box, but the 680 and 750 each have one!?

    (just listen to me whine...)

    Use the effects loop send.

Amp makers used to call them "preamp out" and "power amp in", guess they changed the names so bass players would figure out what they were for
