Having seen at least ten thousand basses on the internet, I've always been drawn to Fenders and Ricks and Leo Designs and Gibsons and Hollowbodys and passive weirdos, but today marked the third time in my life as a bassist (15 years) that an active new age bass got me.
2017 Wolf S8 4 String Active Passive Jazz Bass White Burst
and it's cheap! talk me into buying it wolf2. wolf.

Do it man. That thing looks sweet as.

You can't go wrong with an Active bass, being able to make subtle changes on stage without touching your amp is really handy. And it's Active/Passive best of both worlds.

    There's a Wolf S8 6 I may buy around tax time!
But I think that this one is already sold!
    S8 6.

  4. The body is pretty much a Jerzy Drozd ripoff. But then I'm never surprised at various obviously "borrowed" designs. Albeit slightly smaller in the lower bouts.

Yeah.So is the Washburn Taurus series.

  6. I do like the fact it's built in Korea instead of China.

  7. Anybody know if it's a photo flame. It reminds me of the Brice stuff.

I recently had to sell my Wolf seven stringer.
So I have had a Wolf bass before.

    But this series is new.
I don't know anything about the "Destiny CNC wound" pickups though.

I'll take a close look at the eBay photos and see if I can tell.

Oh great, now I have GAS! I had never heard of Wolf before now. They have some really nice looking basses on Reverb! Really digging the walnut fiver and the neck thru bubinga jazz bass!

  17. Seems like a good deal for a multi piece thru neck. I like the finish, it almost looks opalescent.
