Are there any rack effects unit that have an envelope filter?

  2. The TC Electronic G-Major and G-Force, the Boss VF-1, and the Lexicon MPX-G2--just to name a couple--have envelope-filter patches.

If you want a serious filter, look at a Mutronics Mutator. It's a MIDI-controlled analog filter that includes an envelope mode. It's $1400, though, and probably intended more for keyboardists and producers.

Guitar Center and Musician's Friend are blowing out Electrix products right now ... they make two very nice rackmount filters -- the Filter Factory (now $99) is a one-space rack unit, and the Filter Queen ($79) is a half-space. They're also blowing out the Warp Factory vocoder, MoFx sync'ed effects rack, and EQ Killer units...

Supposedly Electrix is liquidating their inventory to make room for their new Repeater looping device, which looks VERY cool...

Peavey (yes, THAT Peavey) makes one that is a dedicated analog filter. I have one in my rack, and it is phat.

It's called the "Spectrum Analog Filter," and there's at least one on ebay right now.
