as I just posted in the amps section, I just acquired a Hartke 3500 head. It has the built in 10 band EQ. Is there really a need to buy a separate EQ for this? I have had people locally tell me yes and no.

    thoughts? thanx.

Don't waste your money. Hell, I don't even use the EQ on my preamp. You'll get all you need out of the amps EQ. If you want to make a small investment and get a tight punchy sound, get the BBE Sonic Maximizer. You'll never have the need for an EQ again or rarely depending on some rooms.

Definately NOT! their EQ is quite good. just make sure the 250 slider is maxed up.
