    I'm not so much a fan of that one...melodically, I don't think it's as complete and I much prefer his Status tone...but thanks for sharing!

    I posted the Status clip, already knew this 80's one and it's exactly the one I was thinking of when I made the comparison.

    You have to look at it in perspective...that clip is verry old and effects like chorus was populair back then.

    The pure natural JD sound really has a bigger punch then the HiFi sound of the alembics and status basses that he used later on.
    If you listen to the first level42 album (early tapes) and especialy the the song mr.pink you can hear the raw JD sound. That sound was awesome!

    But its okay that you like The Status better ofcourse.:smug:
