So I have searched, and can't find any info on my "Vintage;)"
    Markbass.
I would like to try it with headphones.
When I plug into the "headphone" jack..the speakers are still on.
Can I run this amp without any speakers plugged in? I know that it's death to tube amps..but what about this one? The connections on the back are for an effects loop, two speaker outs and one speakon.
I am really liking this amp..I know it is high quality because it says so right on the amp!!!
    Thanks...

yes you can use your headphones on them without having a speaker plugged in.

This is just an early S450 markbass.

Wow, that just blows my mind seeing a Markbass head that big and in silver. I'm glad they changed it. Looks a lot more distinctive now.

Absolutely, I was in a shop when a guy was getting a new amp to drive his epi Ul210 ul115 stack.

He had one of those funky fanned fret 5 strings with a huge low B.

Anyway he went through everything in the shop, mesa boogie, ampeg, trace, ashdown. The lot. tried all the latest MB stuff too.

Then they pulled this off a back shelf as a last resort, blew the dust off it (no really!) and plugged it in.

    Totally blew away the competition.

Only reason an sa450 is better is if you want a lighter head. This thing was staggering through that rig. Louder, faster, and more even toned than anything else he tried. Its what he walked out of the shop with...

it was one of the most expensive amps there too.

Are you talking about a newer one, or one like mine..an S450?
I paid 350$ because it was one of the "heavy" ones. It does sound great. Even with a really loud drummer and 2 guitar player, I have the gain at around 6 and the master never higher than 3 or 4.

I'm assuming they are, but it would have been nice if it said it ;)

Well, that's too bad. I guess you will never really know. Now whenever you use a newer one, youre going to have that little niggling doubt in the back of your head.:bag:
