    Sub-Genre Influences
    As you can see in the graph below, with the exception of J-Pop Dance and Ballads, each song during the month of February possessed a different sub-genre or mix of sub-genres that helped to shape their sound.

    Notice that the majority of songs possessed a fusion of influences (which is a trend that is continuing to grow in prominence within the mainstream), with the two most popular elements being Dance (showing up in 41% of songs), and Ballads (having its presence felt in 31% of songs).

    Some of the songs that utilized a more interesting combination of influences that enabled them really stand out amongst the pack included My Resistance (a fusion of J-Pop Dance, Ballad, and Hip Hop/Rap), Harlem Shake (Electro, Bass, Trap, Hip Hop) and of course Locked Out Of Heaven (Pop/Rock, Electro, New Wave, Funk).
