For those of you that care, I changed my user name. No longer in that band, so I no longer need that handle. I thought I would post a note here, as to not be confused with all the new names popping up daily.
  2. how did you go aboot doing that?

    :D THANKS P. Aaron!

Eric,, you need to PM Paul with a request to do so, I hate to bother him with stuff like that, but I'm not in the band anymore....I figure my real name should be okay to stick around for a while. I suppose I'll keep the avatar a bit longer till others catch on to the name.
  5. Cool, well welcome to the real name club, only open to the highest class of talkbassers:D

Feels different not seeing that old username on the screen doesn't it? :) I hadn't played my Fender Jazz for around 1-2yrs before i went from FenderJazzCam to my real name [err what most people know me as-real first name is Cameron]. Now i won't change my user name again. You are now one of the few, the not-so-paranoid, the Real Namers. :D That's all

    pah you big sissy.
We've had this screen name since time began. And even though it makes us cringe, we still keep it

Agreed! Hey all you real name snobs - my name is Mark Tindall-Gilmore. There. It's pretentious-sounding, it's difficult, and not nearly as much fun as 'secretdonkey' and it's not like I'm making serious waves in the music world (please excuse those little bubbles, however), so what does my real name matter?

ANBassist - oh, I mean Tim! -- smart move transitioning your "brand" by keeping the old avatar for a bit. HD's suggestion to put a note in your sig is a good one, too.

i was thinking about changing mine, bassplayer13 sounds too childish IMO, i don't know if my real name would sound good, "Bobby Clayton"

or maybe i should go with what some people call me..."Clayman"....or simply "Clay"
