my new corvette has wiring issues
back to guitar center... i hate the place.
what was it doing?
not trying to double-post, just venting frustration.
...but yeah, excessive BUZZING. like real bad.
and it increases/decreases with movement and (now) cracks occassionally.
feel like i bought a used car, where everything is fine untill you leave the lot.
there is the possibility its not the bass....you know...like a short in the cord/amp/house wiring....just being optimistic
bought a new cable and tried my other basses (acoustic/electric and an electric) and this is the only one with noise.
i'm still kind of skeptical though.
My 1997 Fortress Masterman was an amazing bass that I bought used. After a week, it started to pick up radio transmissions (loudly too, like something out of Spinal Tap!).
I took it back and was told it had to be sent back to Europe to be completely gutted and ALL electronics replaced! I ended up getting my $$$ back and gave them the bass back.
Apparently electronics issues aren't that uncommon with Warwicks.
switch it out, man! sounds like a bad issue.
that is one of the best fretless basses i've ever played. i don't like warwicks usually, but that model feels amazing and sounds fantastic (barring any wiring issues, of course).
good luck to you!
knocking on wood, but my corvette runs silent.......is it active and have you tried replacing the battery? sounds dumb but a lot of problems like this have that simple of a fix
agree'd. sounds and plays amazing.
I gotta +1 this. I don't do Warwicks, but the fretless corvette makes me want to pull the trigger EVERY time I play one. Something about it is so different than even its fretted counterpart, I even like the MEC pickups.
And dude, I dig the new band! Nice tunes.
It really doesn't cost a whole lot to have it rewired.
it's the principal of it more than anything.
