I decided to go with my initial gut feeling -- Tort it is!!!
I gotta vote for no pickguard first. But some people don't like the no pickguard/bare screwholes look. If you're one of those people, I say matte black.
I would try a clear or black one. Tough call, it's sooo darn big!! Another thought............some pinstripes on the white one that would compliment the rest of the colors on the bass?? Or..........white MOP to match the neck inlay????
Well, here are some swatches.
I would have to go with snakeskin.
I seriously condsidered that but the Sting sig has a weird route in it that would be visible.
I like the original white pickguard. That bass is supposed to be like a vintage P-bass, and the original 55 P-bass would have had that white pickguard.
I agree with the Doctor. I would keep it white if it were me, but I would imagine it might be cool with tort.
If you can't have white or tort, then you are left with black, which isn't a bad thing.
For sure. If you dont leave it white, My vote is black. then if you dont want black, then get tort.
you can never go wrong with tort on Sunburst... Or black for that matter.
If you don't want white, I'd go with black.
I agree with Doc Cheese. Leave it white -- it looks classic.
No PG would look good, except that the rout is a problem.
Tort is a mistake, IMO.
I like the white, but I'd like black too...maybe I'm just not that picky. hum
I'd go with black.
Tort. Two color burst or not, the answer is always tort with a "sunburst" of any kind!
+1 for MOP, I love that look!
Plain black or white pearl would look great on that bass.
I would avoid tort.
White pearloid or gold anodized. Gold anodized looks great on 2 color sunbursts.
I never thought I would like the look of a gold anodized pg, but I've been proven wrong
I think a white pearl would look great on that bass.
