To make a long story short (and believe me, this IS the short version):

I went TDY at the beginning of the year. It wasn't the most enjoyable trip that one could have, but I made it worth my while by reenlisting for another 5 yrs during my trip. When I got home, my wife convinced me just how nice a new bass would be (hey, who's story is this?). Anyway, thanks to Gard and the guys down at BC. And, of course, as many of you already know, the pics do NOT do this bass justice...

thanks all. i abso-f'n-lutely love this bass. definitely a few steps up from the ibanez sr885 i've been playing.

to gard - hurlburt is great most of the time. just wish this area would stop growing...

    to armybass - i don't blame you...

to woodchuck - 'convince' is a rather light term. it was more like she had me in a half-nelson chicken-wing, dialed the number for me, and forced me to order it. i really had little to no choice. (oh, and i forgot the cool sarcastic guy earlier  - my bad ;) )...

to washburn26 - yeah, i figure if you're gonna go, go big...
  11. Congrats Jod!!! :)

The trans orange w/ matching headstock has got to be my favorite MM color.

I think Rays are great just can`t handle that thick neck. :( Thank god for the Sterling! :D
  12. Beeeeeeeyoutiful! :D
