Didn't someone here at TB recently acquire a sunburst MTD635 that used to belong to Andrew Gouche'? I just watched a DVD where he's playing what may be that bass. Now I know why he sold it. He played the heck outta that bass! There can't be that many good notes left in it.

Anyway, to the lucky guy that now owns it, you can see it on Paul S. Morton's "Let It Rain" DVD.

    Peace,

    James

I dunno, James. I gotta few good notes out of it the last time I gigged it on New Year's Eve! It's a VERY good bass. Check out my gig report. Majorly punchy. :D Thanks for the heads up on the DVD. I'll have to grab a copy.

Another of his MTDs turned up here in Maryland recently at Atomic Music.

Man I would kill for an MTD.. MTD is the only bass that gives me instant GAS..then depression because I can't afford to spend $4000 on a bass :)

You don't have to spend $4000 on one. I spent $1900 on my 635.

New or used? Either way, I can't justify $2000 at this point :) Maybe some day...*day dreams*

Used, in excellent condition. Very unique sounding bass (Burl Maple top on Ash w/Wenge neck)

Well it sucks because in that price range, there are too many basses that I could pick up for used that I'd have GAS for :) Lately, its been Wal :)

Honestly I've never seen a used 435 and thats all I'd be interested in. I ALMOST bought a used Black Korina/Wenge 535. But like I said, I couldn't justify spending that much.

A side note: this MTD635 is so punchy, I'm seriously thinking of selling the current Heavyweight Punching Champion, my Zon Legacy Standard 6! Coming soon to an internet near you...

Exactly. Sometimes you have to sacrifice to get what you want. Of course don't neglect true responsibilities.

There have been a few 435s for sale, some in the low teens. You just have to look.

True, my crack negoting skills came in handy on this one:

Me: So, how much do you want for the MTD 635?

GC: Hang on and I'll check (a couple of minutes pass while he checks with the manager)... $1900.

Me: Sounds fair (stifling a massive giggle)... I'll take it.

If only I used this power for good... :D

    You were saying? ;)
