Have you guys seen this? It came up on my Facebook recently. I definitely think it is wrong to treat anyone this way, calling them such things, and it seems clear that the man is having a breakdown. The trumpet player may never want to pick up his horn again after that.

Of course, context is important. We have no idea if that trumpet player is there every day, always practicing and never getting any better. There is a solid place in the world for an honest opinion, but this guy is way out of line. I feel more sorry for him than anything. Both of them, really.

I'm more bothered by the portrait mode filming.

A frustrated film school grad, failed in his chosen profession, releasing 30~40 years of frustration?

Whatever the cause, it was an epic meltdown.

After my first semi-apologetic 'ok,' if the man continued to harass me i would've kicked him in the neck

Really? Is he sort of a public figure, or something?

Even as a native New Yorker this video made me cringe.

I find it funny that the motto of this guys org. is
"FlowerPowerCreative.com is a community dedicated to motivating a more compassionate society."

If you're out in public busking or whatever then I would think that this kind of thing would kind of come with the territory. Not everyone is going to be happy to hear you play. I bet if the trumpet player had a group of people around enjoying his music then that little man would have gone on about his business and not said a word.

The little man is wrong. People like him are whats wrong with this country. He talks about Bob Dylan and the Grateful Dead, those guys would have loved to hear the trumpet player. He lost his Flower Power message. Maybe he's being strangled by the high waist line.

There are places, like Washington Square, where noise is welcome.
