Sucks when you can't remix your prerecorded tracks. Live music... say what now?

Poor girl couldn't even fire the drummer, although she did rage quit.

Apparently "musician" means different things to different people.

People with no taste or self-respect get what they deserve.

Unfortunately it heavily affects what the rest of us get too.

Cue the Grimes / Musk simps…

This sounds on par with Corey Feldman, AKA "the come back kid". Though, while I have never heard her music, she's infinitely more successful at music that he is. I guess it's her one-off train wreck.

It was a DJ set. Famous artists that have no idea how to DJ are booked all the time unfortunately.

When it becomes so simple even idiots can do it, eventually, only idiots will do it.

    Experience is costly.

I think of the years of my life working to learn my instrument, see **** like this, and it's just one more reason I just no longer understand anything any more.

I've been killed by phat beatz and an SD card.

  15. Totally lame.

Only sympathy I have is for the audience who were screwed.

The "artist" should be ashamed, though I know she won't be...

She could always take some music lessons and learn to play an actual musical instrument to accompany herself... :roflmao:

I use a zoom R16 for recording, it uses SD cards, and I have a lot of em. Just the other day I went in the music room to add to some tracks I recorded a few weeks ago, but I couldn’t find the card! It’s in there somewhere, it’ll turn up, but it made me mad and I said “screw it” and went back in the living room and watched Andy Griffith. I’ll post about on X later.

Technical glitches aside, I'm just amazed people still buy into these kinds of DJ sets as entertainment. The huge stage, big booth and giant screen, and the "DJ" is up there doing basically nothing (just bopping around trying to look busy while letting their laptop do all the work). I have respect for the DJs who really know their stuff and who know how to create great sets while actually mixing records themselves (without the help of an app). These kinds of big ticket events (e.g., Coachella) are completely different affairs and the only thing most of them have to offer is volume and lights - and a crowd of people who will bounce up and down half-enthusiastically to anything with a steady thud. The real talent for the DJ during these kinds of sets is trying to not look utterly bored by the lameness of the task at hand.
