I ordered my Benavente SC5 in Feburary. I had
a five month wait! I have been drooling over
another TBer's SC5. Well he is going to trade it
back to Chris and Brian for another Benavente and
I will end up taking his. I think Brian will get mine.
Its really close to what I had on order. I hope
to get it sometime next week. Man, the wait still
    seems like a long one!
Thanks you so much for calling me abouth this one
    Brian!! Here is a pic.

That thing looks really nice. I've never seen a benavente in person. Could you describe what they sound like and what you like about them?

That looks cool man. Is that a mahogany body with Aero pu's? Our Benavente's would be practically brothers ;)

I really want to hear what you think of it when it arrives since the wait on mine will be 1-2 weeks longer than yours and I'm dying to hear it.

Asked Chris about the body and he said it was Alder, so its just like the one you ordered!!!!

    Jared
The preamps are the same on both basses, but Hman's has freq switches for the bass and treb and mid.

    Smash
The Knobs on Bass7755 are treb, mid, bass, Volume, blend and rotory knobs. The rotory Knob does coil tapping for the pickups. Wired to go dual coil, MM, P & JJ.

Thanks guys! Adam has great taste (He ordered
a SC5 exaclty like mine). And this really work out
great for me. I was not sure it had an Alder body.
Turns out that is does and I am happy.

Thanks again Brian. Oh yeah, Thanks Chris.

    Horace,

You're just scraping by, man! The unwritten rule is that you need to have more knobs than strings. You're sitting at 6 and 6, but my guess is that the switches will keep your bass from being sanctioned.

I received my SC5 today. It is a very beautiful
bass. The pics just do not do it justice.:D :D :D
The craftsmanship is first rate. I have not seen
better and I have owned a lot of high end basses.

I ask Brian to send to my work address so I can't plug her in to see how she sounds. I have had a steady stream of people coming back to my office to check it out. Everyone thinks its a very cool axe and can't beleive the Buckeye top is unstained
wood. I work with a lot of musicians.

Anyway, I am a happy camper now and I can stop
bugging Brian for info and pics.;)

Many thanks to Chris and Brian!!
