well, we had yet another bomb threat at school today. we had one last wed. at the same time too. its getting pretty ridiculous, the police installed a tracind device on the phones, but our stupid people dont know how to work it so they cant catch the people who did it :meh:

there is a good side to this though, like half of the kids left their bookbags (they tell us its a fire drill to keep us from panicing, and i was on an errand for the office im an assistant in that period) so this means no homework :D i went to block buster and rented enter the matrix and some movies to celebrate :)

we were having a good little groove.

The big thing at my school is to go over to the pay phones by the gym, call the school office, and tell them that someone has drugs, and you just wanted to let them know, and you want to remain anonymous.

Then the security guards go and get that person, and they get searched.

It would be funnier if you just said exactly that "someone has drugs"

    not any specific person...*shrug*
  5. That reminds me, at summer school there was this sign that said "$ reward for any information on drug dealers or people using drugs". I thought of doing it to this kid I dislike when he had pot on him one day, but I forgot about it and then summer school ended:meh:
  6. we actually had a working bomb planted in our school...... the stupid cops blew the thing up BEFORE they fingerprinted it.....bravo local cops... we went into lockdown and couldnt do jack

i know the feeling. my county has ONE bomb dog, and its about 20 mins away from our school. so they send us out to the soccer field (appropriately called the cage, fences and all :meh: ) and we have to wait there forever for the dog to get there and go through the WHOLE school (and our school is like 12 buildings spread out over a large area!) luckily these two this year both happened with like 45 mins left in school so we got to leave (albeit a bit later than normal) but last year we had one and were out IN THE RAIN from 8:30 till 1:30 and had a really crappy lunch that consisted of bread ham an apple nd water

bomb threats just aren't scary anymore. neither are fire drills, or real fires. all of this stuff is just lame, and usually make the day more fun and interesting. unless they're in the rain....which just sucks....and anyone who causes it whilst it's raining shouldn't be punished formally, but slapped in the face by everyone left to stand in the rain.
  9. do schools in america have secrutiy guards?/

    that would be weird...

we dont even have fire drills at our school :meh:

well, not really security guards persay, but we do have a police officer that stays on campus during the school day to handle fights and similar situations. i believe all schools (or high schools that is) do this around here, i dont mind though, i do think it helps make it a little safer. plus our resource officer rocks, if we get a ticket for speeding or something we can take it to him and he can get it dropped, alls we have to do is work at a game (selling concessions at a football game, basketball game etc) :)

Crap! In my day all I had to worry about was the gangs that patted me down and took anything valuable I had.
  12. heh...

I doubt we'll ever get a bomb threat.

I think it'd be somewhat good...I mean, hell get out of class/school for it.

But when it turns out to be real,I don't think that would be good at all.
  13. Yeah, and sit on the soccer field for hours until their either done or you get to go home. I remember we had a tennis ball we were throwin around and got it taken away :'( so we had to sit there, couldn't talk, but just sit there and do NOTHING.

Hmm..what was that film called.... dumb and dumberer? So.... kids think it's great fun to miss out on their education.... :meh:

Have fun at McDonalds, the rest of your life ...if they'll have you!!
  15. Bah..you made me remember something my 8th grade history teacher used to say to anyone who was slackin off in the class... "You can either slack off and fail this class or stop slacking and WORK! But thats fine with me if you want to be a slacker, It's always nice to see someone I know flipping my burger at McDonalds."

I know somebody who completed a degree in Media Studies a few years ago and who is still working at Burger King - so I think these places are going to be more 'selective' in future!! ;)
  17. Thats uh...kinda sad :\ Can't find that kind of work anywhere near him or will no one hire him?

    That's just ASININE.

Oh, and I'd like to get super-sized fries with that order, please.
  19. I knew someone was going to say something like that...I just think the students need some time off every once and a while. I mean...I still want my education. If I didn't I'd run away and drop out.

Anyways, when you went to school,I'm sure you wanted a spontaneous day off:)

Also...Everyone thinks of McDonald's as the worst place to work, with the worst income. What if I wanted to flip burgers as a living? I don't know why they get such a bad rep:meh:
