Well, as of now, I am the bassist at the JWC (Joseph Wolinsky Collegiate) house band...today we played some tunes to celebrate the new month...the band is comprised of me, two guitarists, piano, drums and sax.

Here's the cool part: we played the tune "Doxy" by Sonny Rollins, and the sax/lead guitarists suggested that I had a solo in the tune...awesome!, but they told me this around 10 mins before we played...so i just winged it, turned it up when it was time for the solo, and it was just me and the drums for about 16 bars...considering that my improv skills are limited, It sounded great! (God bless the minor pentatonic)...

    so that's my tale!:)

Ah, the good old minor pentatonic... the mediocre soloist's best friend. ;)
