Is there anyway to mute the strings acending down the fretboard while double thumping? I notice, going fast on a scale, while acending down the fretboard, that once I got to the g string I have all three, EAD, strings vibrating. The strings could barely be heard, Is there a way to mute while you have your right hand busy DT?
  2. There are a couple things that I can think of that might help.

First off, you could use a smaller hand motion with your right hand, and mute the E, A and D strings with it.

Alternatively, you could use fingers that you're not using on your left hand to mute the other strings.

You'll excuse me if I'm not being very precise here with my descriptions, I just graduated from high school today (officially), and I have to get ready for the formal dinner tonight, I have to be out the house in 10 minutes. :p
