So I have decided to upgrade the pickups on my 1993 squier Precision Bass. I play punk kinda music. Favorite bass styles would probably be the big punk/pop punk bands of recent (Green Day, Dead To Me, Blink-182)
So the big 3 I have been looking at are:
    The Basslines SPB-3 "Quarter Pounder"
The Fender Original 1962 P Bass Pickup
    The DiMarzio Model P DP122
Anyone with personal experience who can contribute please help me choose!

  2. I have the '62s in my '66 style recreation, and with steel flats they sound thick, and smooth. I had nickel rounds on for a short while, and it did have a very punchy, heavy sound, and with the rounds, on my Marshall MB30, with just a bit of gain I could get an almost Lemmy-like sound. The ohmage per coil of the pickups that came in the crappy P bass knock off were 3.5k, and the '62s are about 5k per coil, so they're (probably) slightly hotter than some stock P-pickups. For they price, I'm very happy with the pickups.

I have no experience with the others.
